Nature Works. A humble photographic glimpse into God's creations!
Photography has been a part of my life since childhood. My parents saved memories in photos that are enjoyed to this day, many taken in South Florida. After college I became a teacher, and continued my interest. My first school had a new darkroom and I pursued the art of developing. I learned mostly on my own and began working with my students. A darkroom at my parents’ house was next, and I photographed weddings and political events. I often would shoot an event and have the 8 by 10 photos back to the candidate before the event was over. Once my children were born, I had less time for photography, although I took many photos of the boys growing up.
My interest resurfaced with the dawn of the digital age! I was fascinated by the ability to produce pictures using the new technology. With this medium, and my love of nature and the outdoors, I had a new way to capture the moment. Reading and experimenting all I could, I have honed my abilities to produce the photos I am now able to create.
The most important element in my photography has become a shared moment with those who view it. I want to convey the beauty I experienced when I took the photo. South Florida is a sensory delight, be they man made, or natural subjects, the photo opportunities are amazing! I give God the glory for all His creation! I hope my pictures reflect that.
